JEEVA JYOTHI CONVENT, PARAPPOOKKARA

After the necessary repairs of the given house in Parappookara, V. Rev. Jose Kavungal presided the blessing of the Jeeva Jyothy Orphanage and began housing 18 elderly women who were abandoned and came from different family backgrounds. Sisters provide loving care and support and strive for advancement in the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of their lives. In order to give better care and facilities for the inmates, and the increase in number of inmates, we constructed a new house and was blessed by Mar James Pazhayattil on May 26, 2009. Currently 25 elderly sick and homeless women call it their home supported by the loving care of our sisters. Our sisters are also involved in the parish ministry as well.
